Smithsonian Magazine is offering a free museum day

Free Admission for you and one guest to over 1500 participating museums and cultural venues nationwide. Each ticket is valid for 2 FREE admissions! To receive your free Museum Day Live! ticket for two people only, register for an account. Once registered, you can request a ticket to one participating venue. The ticket will be available to download immediately up to the date of the event. You must print your ticket and present it to receive your free admission or have it accessible on your mobile device.

Thanks so much! We made a day of it and went to a museum that we always wanted to go to and also explored the area near a lake. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this next time.

There are many of us who feel it is too expensive to see some local museums and you can "go later" but later never comes. So go for free! They also do this in the Spring, let's hope continue it! PS, we spent money in the gift shop.
