eBay is offering a $100 Chevron Gift Card For $91 shipped. That's like getting 9% off on gas.

FYSA, Chevron is typically at LEAST 10% higher than any other gas station.
 
I pay by the gallon not by a 100.00 card. gas goes up you lose out,

No, that's *not* 'like getting 8% off on gas.' It *is* getting 8% off on a gift card.

The percentage discount per gallon depends on whether the price per gallon rises or falls.

Basic math - do you understand it?
 
I don't carry cash generally (married and a father), so, besides saving a little on the per gallon, it eliminates the extra dime per gallon they charge for credit and debit card use.
