Right now I could use a new air conditioner. I haven't kicked my central air on and it was 92 today! Maybe tomorrow I'll do that. Perfect deal for the season.

Heat wave continues, i wonder if there are more AC deals out there like this one maybe for 10k+ BTU's? Does staple deliver into my appartment ?(officemax does) - i live on 3rd floor with no elevators and imagine that that ac is heavy as hell.

I have a Haier 12000 BTU digital model and these Chinese coolers are superbe.

Quiet,very light, sturdy. they come with a window insert, you first install the insert in your window then slide in the operatiing part. nice system. Elaborate remote control and you get 2 remotes.

I got my 12k BTU digital Haier for $250 last summer.

One suggestion, I would get the digital display model instead of this outdated manual control model. You can set the precise temp and the electronics control it perfectly.
This avoids the tendency of operating the AC at full throttle 100% ot the time as so many people do. Allows you to have a cool comfortable house instead of a refrigerated one. (Also super expensive to run AC full throttle 100% of time. You'll cut your power bill tremendously...)
