10 Things We Overpay For

The other day, I was so hungry; I spent 3 dollars on like 30 pistachios.

Wow...that could have bought a drink and a double cheeseburger at McD's here on the Island. Stuff is way to expensive and prices are going UP!

The missed the one thing that we overspend the most on

GOVERNMENT

I completley agree on the government overspending. Since I do live in NJ , We are ready to move out of this state, funny thing ( not really) is that The Dumb gov Corzine decides if you want to leave this state he added an Exit tax. How they can get away with that they are a bunch of crooks.

"Stopping at Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts can set you back as much as $1.65 per cup."

What Starbucks do these guys use????? Maybe that's a Starbucks tall (read small). I just paid $2.20 for a venti (read 20 oz) drip from Starbucks. I rarely drink coffee any more but I was up too late last night watch Madagascar II.

If you plan to move to NYC it will cost you from the direction you are coming (tunnel or bridge tolls) but at least we let you leave for free.

Well, I rather pay more to eat healthy. I'm taking health classes and I learned that junk food and fast food rots in our intestines cuz they're really hard to digest.

Yeah that is true about the tunnels, however I had to drop off and pic up my husband from JFK and got robbed from the Outerbridge crossing into Staten Island 8.00 and then on the way back the Varizano bridge 10.00 ( which is crazy) Im thinking more or less out of the Tri-State area :)

Taxes. THink about it, you buy a car, you pay sales taxes on it, next person to buy it from you pays sales taxes, next person after that pays sales taxes. Eventually there is more taxes on it than it's original price :-)

Think about this, if you buy a can of beans at the store, the farmer who grew them, the processors who canned them, the distributor who delivered them and the grocery store who sold them to you all paid income taxes. They all add the cost of their paying taxes to the price of that can of beans, not just the taxes paid, but also the accounting costs, etc.
Approximately 50% of the cost of that can of beans is tax.

Remember when.... There were no cell phones! I cant live without mine, however I cannot stand when I am out and some fool is lound on the phone, or the stupid people who are weaving in and out on the highway, almost causing accidents and then when you padd them they are either txt or talking, oh yeah can forget the dumb girl putting her makeup on while driving with her visor down at the same time not even looking....

Wasn't your salary taxed...you know, the money you used to buy the car and pay even more taxes....

I take pride in that I don't have to pay extra for my flatulence. But my wife does. :ack:

Well Spaz, you already paid 50% in taxes for the can of beans....
