100 Pack Verbatim 16X DVD-R Media for $10.71 Shipped After Rebate

just FYI, I was using these to make DVD videos. and got pauses several times in the last few chapters of the movie. i was perplexed, as I thought verbatim is a good brand.. infact the GQ frys. brand was working better than this one.. anyone has found such behaviour ?

the pause behavior has something to do with burner and disc compatibility. If this occurs with a certain combination, you should reduce the burn speed. I have used the Verbatim with my Pioneer A08 and everything comes out perfect. I use the same batch of discs on my Samsung burner, and i get some pauses. Reducing speed corrects the problem.

One thing about Verbatim rebates....they take forever... so please be patient.
 
I jumped on this deal never having used Buy or Google check out and noticed Buy.com states "free shipping within 1-2 days" but w/Google checkout, it charges for shipping. When I used the drop down to choose another shipping method, its now free but "7-9 days". Well I guess I have to live w/that.

That's correct. Buy.com will ship the item in 1-2 days, but it will take 7-9 days after that for you to get it. Hey, it's free shipping if you're not in a hurry.

By the way, I jumped on this super hot deal myself. Excellent media at unbeatable price!

I had the same problem. Figured it was Nero which was messing it up. Switched to version 6 of Nero and the burns are perfect. Verbatim is very good quality.:claps:

Those are called skips. Usually you are writing too fast but it could probably be because your writer firmware is out of date for this new kind of media.
