CSSAuctions.com has 192 Clif Bars for $54.99 shipped ($0.29 / Bar). They also carry 240 Luna Bars for $54.99 ($0.23 / bar).

Order them, and eat 6/day. Depending on how quickly they ship, you should finish them of by about the first week or so of July. Of course, this is not for the faint-hearted. To avoid eating anything past-date, you may be forced to consume more than 6/day in the last week of June. This would however, enable you to go without eating for the first week or two of July.

One must also consider the savings on your grocery bill. No need to buy food for a month. Think of the savings of time, going to the store and waiting in line, and the concommitant saving of expensive gasoline. Gone will be the tedious necessity to prepare meals. Regard the social benefits: you will have much more time to spend with loved ones, engage in recreational activities and finally get around to finishing that novel you've been writing.

Don't forget that this could be a great weight loss plan. At 250 calories/bar, 6 bars/ day would be 1500 calories/day. A sensible amount to ensure steady, gradual weight loss for most adults. Just look at how nutritious each bar is: (Clif Bar used for example)

Product Description
With a mix of carbohydrates, protein, and fiber, CLIF BAR is a moderate glycemic index food. What does this mean? Basically, you'll benefit from a steady increase in blood sugar levels followed by a gradual decline (sustained energy!). Know what that means? You keep going. Eat a CLIF BAR 1 ? 2 hours before a workout or race, and you?ll avoid the sugar high and crash associated with refined ingredients and sweeteners. A CLIF BAR delivers the boost you need without unwanted crash and burn. You don?t have to be an athlete to enjoy a CLIF BAR, but with the extra energy a CLIF BAR provides you may find it hard not to be.

3: No cleanup.
4: Save on expensive gasoline.
5: More free time.

7: Savings of at least 80% off retail.

I'm sure that you can think of more, but that is all I have time for at the moment. All in all, I think that this qualifies for nomination as "Deal of the Year".

not to mention, they're really tasty.

Do not eat six of these per day! You will poop rocks. Trust me... when I was ski-bumming in CO, my job used to provide thse free. Needless to say, I took more than advantage.

That said, these things are good at least a year past the expiry date. Half the bars I was eating were over a year and a half past.

Buy with confidence!

Damn, the ones I wanted are "best by May 2006"

These things have to be good at least a few months after the expiration date, right?

id eat them if you gave them to me past the expiry date. they're soo good!

I have eaten these before and they are gross. I don't know how anyone can eat 6 a day. <Barf>

the cool mint chocolate ones are pretty good, plus they have a caffeine kick to 'em too ;)
i wouldn't recommend the clif shot drink mixes.

clif and luna are the best. (well, okay, i admit i like pria, too.) too bad they didn't have many luna -- and the s'mores went really quickly.
