thanks i'm farly new at this stuff but in the end you do end up saving alot, it ends up being $138.00 (well at least for me) i might go pick one up later this weekend

ALSO since the new release of the new 1gb nano the prices fell on the shuffles

512mb : is now 69 dollars ( its the same with or without the discount )
1gb: is now 100 dollars ( with the discount it is $ 89.00 )
 
I just bought a 4 GB nano for like $229 or something close to that with the education discount (my mom is on staff at a local private college)

If you live near an apple store, all you have to do is show them a student id.
