2006 IRS Tax CREDIT for EVERYONE!

I just did my taxes online earlier this morning and it asked me if I wanted to take the credit, it got me back and additonal $40. :bigok:

This specific credit is for people who have had ANY phone (landline or cell) and paid long distance from February 28,2003 thru August 2006. Depending on how many dependants you claim, you could get between 30 and 60 dollars.

Thank you! :claps: It's always nice to get something more when dealing with the IRS.

AWESOME FIND! THanks so much! :) Every little bit helps!!

This is a catagory in TurboTax, it is in a list of other possible deduction items. So Turbo users don't miss it.

This is good. It's been all over the news too.

If you want to see if you can get more by going through your phone bills, if you pay online you can pull up your bills for the past months.

I thought this was only for home phones not cell phones.

I read that it was for cell phones too.

This morning on the news they said that some early filers had filed for a credit of the entire amounts of their long distance charges rather than just the tax paid. This will tie up their refund and possibly subject them to an audit and criminal charges. UH oh!

Who has time to look up all their old phone bills? We took the standard $60.:claps:

Great find. Should be stickied at least until 4/16.

Thanks!!

Nice post -- every little bit helps! Thanks!!:claps:
