The shipping was only about $10 for me..

That is certainly more reasonable. I don't live in the middle of the earth though...I wonder why it is so much more.

Yes, but there is a lot of talk about not getting TD rebates on other forums. Factor that in.

TigerDirect is located in Chicago, IL ... so the further you live from there the more it may cost to ship.

I live in the burbs of Chicago, and they wanted $12.38 to send a mobo. There shipping is outragous. And yes there has been nothing but problems with there rebates. Not to thread crap, but the deal isnt worth it...for 1). I have to pay tax, 2). the shipping is way high. As long as places like newegg and zipzoomfly are around I dont see TD competing with them.

Eh, I got a CompactFlash/SmartMedia/Memory Stick etc reader to fit the 3.5 bay on the front of my computer from there and it was only $9 ($30 - $30MIR + $9 shipping). The rebate worked fine, and the product worked fine too. Yeah, $9 is a bit high for shipping, but its still the cheapest overall price I could find.

So, TigerDirect is still good in my book.

The Web site states the computer tower alone is 30 lbs. Doesn't this seem a bit high? I build computers at work and don't think I've had a case with the box, foam, plastic, and tower itself weigh over 10 lbs. Does my company just buy super light cases or is this one from Tiger Direct a land yacht?

Steel cases are usually ~20-30 pounds, without a power supply...

Both of these came today. Indeed the package is heavy, the case, powersupply, keyboard, mouse, and speakers are all in one big box, and it indeed does weigh ~30lbs. The hard drive came, but I havn't done anything with it yet. All came as planned.

The mainboard manf, I dont think they are are business anymore. So you might not get that rebate.

What mainboard? Deal is for a PC case, power supply, a mouse and speakers.

Price:
$59.99
Less Rebate:
- $40.00
Final Price:
$19.99

seems like they modified the deal :-/

I'm having trouble with the rebates on the case bundle.. There are 4 UPC's total. I don't know which one to copy and send in with the rebates..

Soyo rebates are among some of the worst rebates I've dealt with. I will never buy from them again!!!
