Man still too expensive. These are taking a long time to come down in price.

Jumped on it. Ive seen them for $1.99 elsewhere, but free shipping is the clencher. Good deal. Not great, but better than paying $2 a pop AND shipping.

Yeah, I'm surprised these are so expensive still. I probably won't pay until at least in the "under dollar range", and even then I'd like to see less than 70 cents. $2 is just not the right price.

not alot of people need double layered discs so they havent some down in price yet...once the discs are in more demand it will come down in price

It's when supplies go up prices will fall. Someone wasn't paying attention in Econo 101 :zip: .

That does not make any sense. From the business point of view the oposite is true. But, in any case, $2 / disk is a lot. I'm waiting for them to be under a buck.

as long as its "new" technology, they will be expensive. dual layer discs are still pretty new

well, it is down from $5 a pop.

I'm not buying as well, pity my recorders' DL capability is being wasted

supplies wont go up if there is no demand for the product...products only get cheaper when companies can mass produce it....they wont mass produce it if ppl dont want it

One thing I thinks folks missed here. The DL disks are much more difficult and expensive to make than regular DVD-R's and DVD+R's. Milk is in high demand, but the price stays at $2 / gal regardless.

One of many articles about it:

BTW if milk costs more than $2.00 a gal where you live then you paid too much :D
