What the Dell? Verbatim rebate limit is 3!

If you want several of these, the REAL rebate limit is three. Dell's rebate info pop-up says limit one, but the rebate form (the pdf) says limit three, so I called rebate company who verified it is three. I ordered two more.

Could Dell be trying to impose bogus limits to stretch their stock? Has this happened before?

As for backorder, my order status says "preproduction". Is that the same?

The confirmation also says "will ship on or before Dec 30th", which kinda leaves the ship date wide open.

I got the same thing in my confirmation. As long as you purchase it by the 31st of Dec and mail the rebate by the 31st of Jan you should be okay.
