Is it compatible with Dell Dimesion 2350 desktop?
 
Only if your motherboard supports it. If you already have some DDR 2100 RAM, then yes, your computer will support it. Of course you have to have a free RAM slot.
 
just for heads up.

k-byte memory is known for having problems with AMD systems.
 
I do not know if Dell 2350 has the AMD system. Does it?

...and I've found it (same pcb but using assorted chips) to be exceptionally stabile with VIA based socket-A systems. YMMV

I've had some PNY ram that just PUKED in a giga-byte/via board for example that used one brand of chips. I tried 3 different PNY sticks using the same kind of mem chips and all crashed and burned no matter how conservative I set the mem timings..it hated them thar chips. So then slapped in some PNY ram that used samsung chips instead and had it run like a swiss clock.

If you really want a constant in your ram, get micron/crucial, otherwise when it comes to pny, kbyte, etc, it might use samsung chips, hyundai, it kinda varies and you take your chances.
 
Arnt Samsung chips good quality? I've heard that PNY and Samsung memory are very good...

Samsung is priced like a brand, PNY is on the cheaper side...

Samsung is grade A stuff, no arguements there.

As for PNY, it depends on what you consider memory when you say "memory". There's the whole SDRAM dimm which includes the PCB + memory chips, and then there's just the chips. PNY doesn't manufacturer the black memory chips, just the PCB they get slapped onto. Whereas Samsung both sells their own memory + PCB as well as sells their chips to 3rd parties to use for their own branding. Micron does this as well, which is why you can buy "generic" Micron ram but it's not the same as 100% true micron ram from the pcb down to the memory chips.

PNY is like cendyne, verbatim, buslink, pacific digital when it comes to cdrw drives. Like how you might get a burner made by liteon, or acer, or optorite, and so on, it's a bit of a crap shoot. Same goes with PNY. If you're buying instore, ask the manager to let you pick which PNY ram package you buy, look on the back of all them, and snag the one using genuine samsung chips.

That's why one PNY stick of memory might be flaky in a system, but another run like a porsche. Same goes with Kbyte in this regard.
