Officemax is going via the way of Staples with regards to coupon codes. All the new codes floating around are for new customers only. I just checked my order and they took away the $50 discount. I called to complain and was rudely told that I was not able to use the codes that I found on the "boards". And she mentioned something about one time use only coupons codes. So I canceled my order. Oh well it was fun while it lasted. I guess all good things have to come to an end. :( :evil:
 
Alot of the Officemax coupons have been one time use for a long time.. Its not something new..

What happens if they didn't include a receipt inside the box? Will a printout of the order from the website work as a receipt?
 
hey, anyone know the rebate form to use for the 200 cd? i tried checking the officemax.com but they took down that offer already...oh well..^_^
 
pablo, just for your reference, normally an invoice printout from the website will work as a receipt for a rebate, yes.
 
Get this, I cancelled my order with a CS rep. the same day I ordered all of this stuff. Today I received my order via UPS. Then on my answering machine I have a message from someone at OM stating that they realized my order was cancelled, but it shipped anyways. And that they want me to call UPS to arrange for a pick up of the package to be sent back to them. What a bunch of crap. Maybe I will just play dumb and say I never received anything from UPS. And then if they try billing me I will just dispute it with my CC and show that they billed me for a cancelled order or something... Or maybe I will just do the right thing and return it all :D :twisted:
 
That's a good point. I mean legally, I guess, you cancelled the order, so therefore you shouldn't be liable for it. Definitely play dumb with UPS, then tell your credit card company not to pay it because you cancelled the order. What is OfficeMax going to do? The only thing they could do is bill it to the credit card again, so you would just have to watch your bill.
 
Legally they can bill you for it. Did the package come signature required. If so they get a print out of your signature at the end of the week. That will prove that you took in the product. I would call them and tell them to either give you the rebates or tell them to call UPS and arrange a pickup. It is not your responsibility.
 
UPS did not get a signature, just left it on my door step. Also another thing I found was that inside the box there was no packing slip or invoice, just the merchandise. I called OM CS and was told that indeed the order was cancelled. The person I talked to just now said nothing about any products to be returned. I'll give it a few days and see what becomes of it. STRANGE :?
