3M Filtrete Air Cleaning Filters for Free After Rebate

Cool. I just bought two yesterday and they were $10 a pop.

Thanks! I'll definitely to buy these by the end of the year :claps:

3M didn't send the rebate to me before for some other promotion. I will not trust them any more.

which local stores would have this? pepboys?

Excellent deal. These are good filters. You should change your filters every 90 days to save energy.

tyvm for the post...works for anyone who has their own home.

If you have pets, in can be more often. My thermostat has a sensor on it to say when to change it. Unfortunately, there is no battery backup on it so if the power goes out, it doesnt work. Best thing to do is look at every 2 weeks. You can tell when they need replacing.

Thanks! This one I'll definitely use

Actually, they are too good: if you hang out on the hvac-talk forum, you'll find that HVAC professionals point out that they are too restrictive unless your ducting/filtering system is specifically designed for them (and no, even new ones usually are not - it is about surface area).

Anybody fill out the Rebate form yet?

I bought a couple filters, but the rebate form asks to "Circle Model Purchased:" FAP01 FAP02 FAP03 FAP04

I can't figure out what models I purchased. Anybody have an idea? The only identifier I can make out is the Performance Rating: 1000, 1250, etc. Any and all advice welcome.

Thanks

OK, answered my own question. I got duped on this one. :verysad: This rebate form is not for purchasing HVAC Filters, but for an actual room Air Purifier. (e.g. http://www.amazon.com/3M-FAPF02-Filtrete-Cleaning-Filter/dp/B000I4SD3E )
You send in the rebate, and they send you a free filter(or coupon) for the purifier you just purchased.

I bought a couple 1" furnace/ac filters for $15-18, thinking that's what this deal was. Guess they won't be free, but I use these filters anyway and got what I paid for. Spoofee, et al, let's all try and be sure of the details of the deals instead of being in such a rush to post them. I'm usually really good about researching these before I buy, but didn't look closely enough at this one. Shame on me too.

Keep up the good work y'all.

The rebate form looks to have been changed in the original posting. I printed it out last week and it said "receive a refund by mail equal to the purchase price up to $19.99 of any one-inch Filtrete Air Cleaning Filter.

No mention of model number. Maybe someone saved the original PDF on this one...

Thanks wildbanchee

I realized I'd saved off the original PDF on my machine. The rebate form for the filters vs. the air purifier. I'll go back and use that. I couldn't believe that I'd have overlooked that. Thanks :claps:

Does anyone still have original PDF on this? I didn't print out a few weeks ago because I was waiting to purchase one first.
