Thank you for your email.

$1.00 coupons are worth face value only. They cannot be doubled or give a different value.

So SuperFresh is saying a 99 cent coupon can be tripled and worth $2.97 and a $1.00 coupon is only worth $1? Shouldn't a $1 coupon be worth $2.97?

Is the above normal store policy for triple coupons?

yes, that's in line with every store policy I've seen. Don't ask me why.

Has anyone seen an actual written store policy? Link?

The stores that do it in my community have that statement on every sales ad they send out. I am sure you could ask for a copy of a policy at the customer service counter.

I wish our grocery store tripled coupons. They only double coupons up to 50 cents.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I recently shopped at Super Fresh, owned by A&P as you probably are aware, lured by their triple coupon offer.
The offer was to triple coupons valued 99 cents or less. $1 coupons, though only 1 penny more, were completely excluded.

I was unable to get their "triple coupon policy" in writing even when directed to request the policy at the service desk at my store in Westmont, NJ.

Although I understand the reason behind the exclusion I think it is basically unfair and disingenuous.

If companies such as Super Fresh are going to "partner" with coupon providers they should be above board.
$1 coupons should eligible within the $2.97 (99 cent) maximum.

I suggest some or all of the following:

$1 Coupons be lowered to 99 cents across the board.
or
Word the coupon enabling the consumer/customer to lower the value to participate in double or triple offerings.
"Consumer may redeem coupon for up to $1.00."
or
"Consumer may redeem coupon for desired amount no greater than $1.00."
or
Convince your "partners" to have written coupon policies available, online and/or at service desks, to customers.
or

Whatever your organization can do to level the coupon field for coupon providers and consumers.

Thank you,

Write to these guys. They want us to use coupons. I guess.

And Mina you come live with me in the Garden State and we can cut coupons together.
