Does anybody know if you can use a DVR without having cable or direct tv? We just have the converter to watch tv and my daughter wants one so she can record show while she's at work
the basic answer is, no, you don't need a cable or satellite signal to record with a DVR. if the signal is coming in as analog, you'll need hardware that has an A to D converter.
