Ok...I have mentioned before that I use Musicmatch to play all my songs....well somehow Yahoo is in the mix now. When I follow the steps to "upgrade for free" to Yahoo Unlimited I get a pop up saying something to the extent of not being connected to the internet. I don't know why it's doing that now, but I can't upgrade and it's bumming me out.
So.....can anyone tell me of some FREE sites that will have a playlist similiar to Musicmatch?
Thanks in advance!!

Have you tried pandora internet radio? I know its not a 'music player' but you mentioned sites and I thought of it.. You type in a band you like and it serves up a playlist of them and related artists.. Its pretty nifty.

I use itunes, and I used to use winamp (which is a really nice player) before I got an iPod, but Ive never really used MusicMatch.

What do you mean by "free sites that have a playlist similar to MM?" Do you mean free mp3 playing software, or am I just that ignorant of MM?

Oops I'm sorry! I meant how it is setup. Kinda like you said w/ Pandora, where you type in an artist and it shows you all of their available songs and it will also recomend artists that are in the same genre or are similiar. from there I can then create different playlists. I think that makes more sense.

Pandora doesnt let you add your own songs to the playlist. It just serves it up fresh.

I get what youre saying.. MusicMatch and Yahoo are in cahoots, so when you type it into the MusicMatch interface it accesses Yahoo's music selection. I truly dont know of anything else that does that, but Im not that current on MP3 programs.

Maybe you should uninstall yahoo and MM and reinstall it fresh? Maybe something got goofed up somewhere. I dunno, Im just spitballing.

Whenever I close the pop-up I can only play a 30 second clip of the songs. :mmph:

Since I left you all on the edge of your seats about this ( ) here is my temporary solution.

I went here...http://www.projectplaylist.com/musicsearch and uploaded a bunch of songs. I saved that list on Windows Media Player. This is not the best solution, but like I said....it's temporary.
Thanks for the link , Faerie!!

Did you ever try pandora? Or installing an older version of MMJ?

Yes I looked over Pandora....it didn't look like something I would like, but I might look it over some more tonight.
I was going to uninstall the MM version I have and install a different one, but I really didn't want to lose all of my playlists. I have quite a few and they are full.

Uninstall shouldn't delete playlists.
