Sunday my husband showed me this huge lump in his pelvic/groin area. It felt like a baseball. He has had it for a month and didn't want to tell me because he did not want to worry me since I have health problems which of course made me mad.

He is 53 and NEVER goes to the doctor. So, I got him a appointment with my doctor since I have to go there Thursday they scheduled it right after mine.

He already has a hernia in is stomach so I am not sure if this is another one.

I have been doing research online and he doesn't have symptoms of Prostate Cancer and I heard a hernia in that area would "drop" into his privates.

Please keep him in your prayers. He has been working nonstop on a new delivery route and needs to take it easy but won't.

Also, this is wierd, he left a message this morning on my phone he wants to have a baby girl with me.

He has always been against having any more kids because he is 53 (i am 34) and I guess he thinks he is too old. I wanted a baby for a few years but I am not 100% sure right now with both of us having health problems. He may lose his job.
He has a 21 yr old daughter and I have 2 teen sons. 12 and 14.

:greed::ohwell::thinking::loving:

Thanks. He's got a high fever tonight so I am hoping it goes away

not good he may have an infection of some sort go to the doctor with him and get all the answers you can good luck. my prayers are with you and yours.

Good luck at the appointment :hugs: please keep us updated :prey:

I wish I could worry about my hubby and his lump, LOL, OK just trying to lighten the mood, my hubby had a bump like that in the same area and it ended up being a cyst, eventually he said it popped and blood and pus came out, (great visual huh?) BLEK! But it was only a very large cyst, after it popped I couldn't feel anything, and now that you say your hubby is running a fever it sounds like it might just be a cyst and the infection in it is running rampant, You and your Hubby will be in our prayers, I hope this helps ease your fears some.

I believe when things like this happen it's appropriate to see a doctor.

I'd get to the doc ASAP. There are lymph nodes throughout your body and he could have a serious infection going on that is not limited to that area. Keeping you in my prayers.

Hlel, Ida gone to the doc as soon as I noticed it. Please do NOW.

WENT TO DOCTOR..

He has a Hernia. Actually two Hernias and needs surgery soon. He also has to quit his job because he lifts heavy items all day and the doctor said when it does get fixed it could rupture again.

He is bummed out quitting work. He is an indep. contractor which means they don't offer insuracne or workman's comp or unemployment. Luckily the hospital will take payments for the surgery. He see's another doc next week and then they will schedule the surgery.

This will give him time to rest (which is needed) and he also writes music so he will have time for that.

He also has a upper resp infection but the Dr said it wasn't serious and can take OTC meds.

I just had a hernia operation which they said would be MILD they ended up having to remove some excess skin inside of me which made the operation much worse then what it should have been. But I am fine now, just can't lift anything heavy. hope your hubby gets thur this and all is well.. my prayers are with you and your family......

Hope he feels better soon.

Thank you. Right now he is dealing with the upper resp infection and coughing like crazy. Has nothing to do with the hernia. The Dr said it would run it's course.

What a BUMMER for your husband! Holy Cow that is quite a lifestyle change he will undergo!

Prayers will be sent up for the both of you!

I wish you both the best

 When it rains.................it pours :rainme:
