A question for anybody who might know

Urban corner mailboxes are blue. What color were they before that? Army green like the postal collection boxes? And if that is the case, how come the collection boxes weren't made blue too. It's not like it's too hard to tell the difference and you can't put a letter in one that doesn't have a drawer/slot no matter what the color.
 
I've googled and can't find anything... sorry!
 
I Googled it too. That's why I put it to Spoofee. I seem to recall them all being green at one point and when they went blue it was odd. But then I still notice the other boxes being green and yesterday I saw one that was a totally lighter shade of green and it got me wondering.

I feel a little Spockish in that I find this fascinating. I must have really been "out of it" after kindergarten because I only remember the green and then the blue. Quite a time lapse there. So it would seem that the army green postal storage boxes were just left or kept that color to not confuse the poor masses who would be looking for the collection slot if they were painted blue too.
 
Would that be a short arm puppet?

Oh it's just a pun on "All of the other reindeer" from the song, b/c it sounds like "Olive the other reindeer". This was one of the questions in a XMas song game we were playing and no one in the group got the answer either.

Nah, it's not old age...it's the KIDS!!!!!!!! LOL

I missed a big meeting this morning b/c I was convinced it was tomorrow, so here I am sitting at home, happily playing w/ my son when I get a *helpful* email offering to update me on everything I missed at the meeting! :rolleyes: :doh:
