i'm looking for a new set of computer speakers as i recently had a set of logitech z-3s stolen from me. i need a set with a pretty good subwoofer to shake up my dorm room. surround sound is not necessary, i'd prefer a really good 2.1 set than a mediocre 5.1. right now i'm looking at the logitech x-530s for 65 bucks from my local samsclub. The subwoofer is smaller than the z-3s, anyone know if it's as powerful? My price range is preferrably under 70 bucks. thanks.

Every day look at www.woot.com at 10pm , they often have amazing speaker deals for under 30 , or if your lucky u can get the 5.1 brown box sony speakers for 20.

thanks for your help, that z-560 set looks soooo tempting. however, i've heard real bad things about justdeals and how it can be a mixed bag as to the condition of what you get.

They change the deals at 12AM central, 1AM eastern.

Amazon.com has the JBL Creature II Speakers for only $61.22... They CLAIM the reg. price is $129.99. The Apple Store sells it for $99.99 (but they are always overpriced)... I have these speakers and I am NOT disappointed ONE BIT! They are the only speakers that are comapitble with the iPod Dock. If you put your iPod on a dock, and connect an included wire from the speaker to the dock, it plays through the speakers! So simple! HTH! Enjoy!!! :D

*Available in Black OR White*
