not a free deal

The Google check-out does not give free shipping and regular state taxes still apply. With taxes, it turns out to be approx. $10. A good deal but not free.
 
you got to make sure you select the free shipping option when you check out. The default is like $6ish dollars for shipping.
 
Yeah, I get charged 9.75% sales tax on all buy.com purchases but the GCO, free shipping, and rebates still make this a really great deal. This deal came up before and I've already got my flash drive and it works very good. Just waiting on those darn rebates. :)

Correct. They don't show the standard shipping option at first; you have to use the drop-down to change it. I've used GCO and gotten free shipping on buy.com.
 
i checked both rebate forms already. they are both good. :bigok:

I have so many buy.com rebates in the last month, I hope they don't just go out of business and burn us all.
 
Nice - needed one since last one was lent out and never returned - free is a good price but gotta wait for rebates :P

I actually googled their website, got their contact information about rebates and asked them about mailing in the same envelope because the rebate form says that it needs original UPC bar code, they said that you can mail them both in the same envelope. Plus, the rebate says that is CAN be combined with other ACP-EP offers.
 
Has anyone else had problems dealing with buy.com? The one & only time I placed an order with them on a similar flash drive deal, I didn't receive the drive and received no email notification as to the status of the order. My card was charged, and after repeated emails, they admitted they could not fill the order even thought their "real time" inventory indicated that they had stock. I don't want to badmouth any e-tailer unfairly so how about some feedback?
 
UPC copy is acceptable on one of the rebates

The $10 rebate form says that a copy of the UPC is acceptable. I think I'll send them separately, just to be sure (even though that costs an extra stamp).

i only received the 10 dollars not the 20 dollars
