Anyone ever have acupuncture done? Did it work for you? Just curious.... :suspicious:

I had it done for my headaches and yes it worked. Insurance just didn't cover it, so I was SOL to have it done more often.

how often did you have to go (obviously until you decided to stop), and how much a pop? I am seeing $90-$130 for the initial visit..then $50-$80 for the f/u visits around here...unless I drive an hour to an acupuncture college - then it's only $30 a visit (interns supervised by licensed acupuncturists...same ones that run the local clinics with the skyhigh fees). And yeah, don't believe my insurance will cover either. I've read that depending on the condition, sometimes they want you there more than once a week in the beginning. yucko

I had mine done at a pain management clinic. It was done 2x. Each time it was $250.00. Pretty pricey, but it gave me relief for a month. Wish I had a money tree. No, I went once a month.

no acupuncture, but I had a LOT of electrostimulation during rehab on my knee.

I have been considering this alternate medicine for quite sometime now. Since it work for my grandma but sadly the same resul wer not achive on my auntie. I have nerve problem which is causing me a lot of pain and sleepless night and this have been suggested to me for more than one occasion.

I have already made an appointment 1st of September hope all goes well. Yeah sad part is insurance dont cover it :(

It works very well. My aunt is an acupuncturist.

And some insurances, like our car insurance, paid for my wife to go after she had been in an accident. I was surprised and pleased.

I wouldn't have guessed that insurance would pay for it. I thought it was considered more of an experimental therapy.

I find it odd that it would be considered "experimental" when it has been around thousands of years longer than traditional Western medicine. But that's just me.

So has witchcraft. However, in the case of Acupuncture, that was just my assumption. I have absolutely no experience with it.

I've heard it's slightly more effective than being hit over the head with a fish.
