Movie Watcher club members also get free popcorn every Wednesday. All the AMC movies in my area are currently $6 for any movie Mon-Thursday. Regal Cinemas crown club offers free popcorn on Tuesday to members.

Theatres only make 10% from the movies. The rest is from concessions. I go to Aldi's and buy the movie size boxes of candy for 85 cents and then bring them in. They are $4 at the theatre.

Using the memebership programs will save you some money too.

Free popcorn, not a free drink
 
The free popcorn will make you thirsty and make you buy a $4 soda. Just go to the 99 cent store and get yourself a bag of chips and a bottle of soda, put it in your bag and your good to go!
