This is an OEM chip, the picture used in the spoofee entry might lead someone to belive this is a retail version. Either way its a good deal
I just built a system on this chip 2 weeks ago and when I bought it from New Egg as a retail version it was $95. So add $10 to $15 to the current price to include a CPU fan and you get $75 to $80 bucks - add in the bundle and its still a good deal.

System is fast stable and cool thanks to the 65 nm chip design
 
3600+?!?

I didn't know they released something clocked lower and cheaper than the 3800+!
I bet they overclock pretty well too...:convinced:
 
I just bought the 4800+ yesterday at Newegg, they have it for $189 with a combo special where you get a free MSI mobo. The 4800+ is the full retail package.

Yes I can personally attest that this sucker can be significantly over clocked :)

I have gotten mine to 2.6 but others have pushed it to 2.8 and beyond. FYI 2.6 and above puts it in the 5000+ territory for under 80 beans. I will gladly take the extra hundred to 2 hundred bucks and put it to good use elsewhere :)
