Antec USB Notebook Cooler Fan for $7.99 Shipped After Rebate

Lots of good reviews, probably get one for my dell 1705.
 
I got this the last time Buy.com had the rebate (I'm due to receive it in a few weeks). It does a very good job at keeping my laptop cool. I usually keep it on low, but switch to high when watching movies.
 
Considering the good reviews, I will order one right now! :)
 
hope it will get here fast enough for me to use the rebate.
 
I just tried to cancel mine (order was already sent to the warehouse, so not sure if it actually will be canceled). When using the free shipping (3-5 extra days), this item will not get to you in time, so rebate is not an option.

You just have to order it before March 3rd, the rebate must be in the mail and postmarked by: April 2nd....you can still get the rebate.

Where did you find this information?

This is from the rebate form:
"All requests must be postmarked by 3/2/08."
 
Really good quality. Went through about 3-4 of those plastic 2-fan models. The power cord kept failing (becoming intermittent in the cord somewhere, near the USB end). Plus, the fans would start to "moan" (bearing problem).

I've had this one for a couple of months, and it is definitely of a better quality. The grill on top is metal, with real sturdy rubber wide feet.

The only down side is that there is a bright blue LED on the side indicating power. While I appreciate the effort, it lights up my whole bedroom if I want to use the laptop at night while my wife is sleeping (no wisecracks, please :tongue: ). But a piece of yellow electrical tape over the LED muted it sufficiently.

Definitely a buyer!!
 
I went to the website and clicked on the rebate link from Buy.com

In the fine print I see "All requests must be
postmarked by 4/2/08" on the coupon it says: "Valid 2/25/08 – 3/2/08 at Buy.com" that just means it must be purchased by the 2nd...although I can see how it could cause problems.

I've been eying this one for a while now, and it seems that I hear mostly good things about this cooler. It seems to be more durable and works better than all the similar models...I'm glad I have until tomorrow, I had forgot all about it the past few days.

I just re-opened the PDF, and now it indeed says 4/2/08, but the copies I printed earlier this week say 3/02/08, they must have changed it :)
*Prints a new copy and waits for the cooler :teeth:
 
Can someone help me out? I placed my order on Feb. 27th and just received my fan today. But for some reason I cant locate the rebate coupon or link. Can someone please email it to me? I'm going to be really p'd off if I can't send my rebate in. :verysad:
 
Never mind. I forgot that I saved the coupon .pdf to my desktop. :p

Anyhow, my laptop usually overheats, slows down, and sometimes freezes when playing games that use alot of RAM. But with the fan, there is almost no heat and the graphics don't freeze up anymore. Great deal. :claps:
