I am also looking to buy a sony handycam mini dv camcorder. Have been looking throughout the web at the different comparison sites. Interested in the Sony DCR-TRV70 or TRV80 but only looking to spend under $800. Lots of shady business with these things though, some sites had them cheap for like 650 but they were Grey market models (international) so had no warranty. Where can I buy that is trusted? I have never bought/had a camcorder before so any help (even if not a coupon) would be appreciated.

Try B&H Photo Video... they seem to have pretty good pricing on the products and are trustworthy.

I just purchased a new model. The Canon Optura 40. It's supposed to be better than the sony and I test drove the Optura 30 at Best Buy. I was impressed.
