ohrune said:think about it... the actual NEW 4gb ipod mini has 18 hrs of battery for $200. amazon is selling the old ones (8hr battery) at the new price. you're getting jipped. pay a few bux more and get 10 hours more out of your battery. if you are a student apple store for education sells them for like $180, w/free engraving. check the part numbers: m9800LL/A, m9802LL/A, M9804LL/A, M9806LL/A are the new ones.
Online as well. Some sites (e.g. AcacemicSuperstore.com) specifically sell items only to those with an affiliation to an academic institution (e.g. students, school administrators & teachers).beezurd said:how do you use a student discount online? Or does this only apply to in-store?

After you've placed your order, they allow you to email or fax in proof of your eligibility (e.g. a copy of your student ID) to receive a discount.
ps Frequently, your student ID is your SSN.
ummmm... dunno, it is close but i'm guessing probably not.beezurd said:oh ok I just found that website and saw the educational discount thing. So would it be enough to take a picture of my student ID and email it to them? I just graduated in 2004 so im not in school anymore.. but its close
