Yeah, I am in the market for a new iMac. I might jump on some of the refurbished deals, they're insane.

argh. it's because they ran out of the product. ;) check out the outlet for great deals.

Yeah, last night I ordered the 1.8GHz with 512MB RAM, 17" screen, 160GB HD, and a combo drive for $849. I wanted the one for $949 with the SuperDrive and the 2GHz processor, but it had sold out. Now it's back today, doh!

Oh well, I have a really nice external DVD+-RW anyway that I didn't want to sell, and having dual drives is nice. But I would've liked the processor...

well, one thing you can do erik, is buy the computer again (so you would have 2), and return one to the apple store, they accept returns from what they told me. and choo choo, thank you for the link! I tried copying and pasting that same link, but it kept saying to me: session timed out... wierd!

actually, same deal! :( :( :(

New PowerBooks

Word is that Apple may announce new PowerMacs and PowerBooks this week.

It's about time! Now you've got me all excited Gogogadget!!! WOOHOO! I'm stoked! Now, a PowerMac or iMac... hmm. I guess I'll have to wait and see!

Now Out:

iMac

PowerMac

Power Book

Only the iMac has a design change (though minor, it is a HUGE step in the right direction!), but the PowerMac and Power Books have technical changes. The PowerMac now comes in a QUAD core processor standard in the most expensive model! Lemme tell you, WOW! The Power Book has a better, brighter, more vivid and detailed screen, DVD-Burner standard on all models, a faster processor, LONGER battery life (5.5 hrs.), and, lastly, a much lighter laptop. Big steps towards the future, I would imagine the Intel chips would simply take to the form of these newly redesigned products. Maybe a possible design change in the Mac Mini or the iBook (the only ones without a design change this time around). Whoever decides on getting a Mac, I APPLAUD YOU! :claps: :claps: :claps: :claps: :claps: :claps: :claps: :claps: :claps: :claps:

I got my iMac G5 refurbished today. Very impressed, just like brand new. Apple packaged a new keyboard, mouse, all new documentation, and the machine is immaculate.

I'm still stuck on whether I should've gotten this 1.8GHz model with a combo drive for $849 or the 2GHz model with the SuperDrive for $949. I ended up getting the $849 because the other one sold out, and then came back the next day. Oh well, I can keep my LaCie DVD burner that I was going to sell.

Only complaint is that the fan noise fluctuates a lot, it likes to spin up under no load and it whines a little bit, but nothing serious.

Good to know, thanks Erik! Do yolu think the Mac Mini would also come with a keyboard and mouse (Since it doesn't normally)?

UPDATE:

All prices at the outlet have been reduced!!!! The savings go from $20-200, great deals!
