I usually buy whatever is on sale, or I have a coupon for, or the cheap generic... but there are some things that have to be a particular brand. My conditioner must be Shaper, for instance (at a freaking nine dollars a bottle!).

Anybody else have a brand item they insist on, or is it just me?

I usualy buy whatever is on sale but I always use Nestle chocolate chips and Madagascar Pure vanilla extract. <---This stuff is expensive but well worth it, it makes a huge difference if you use real instead of imitation vanilla.

my jeans have to be abercrombie or express

goody hair accessories

and downy fabric softener

Gotta have Heinz Katsup. Hunt's will never do.
JetBlue whenever possible (love the little TVs in every seat)
Coke is way better than Pepsi
Head & Shoulders but only because I'm so used to the smell ("fragrance")
AMD - never Intel
Kleenex only for the little pack I carry in my pocket otherwise generic is OK
Bounty paper towels
Except for the H&S shampoo and the Tea Tree Oil smell of my Trader Joe's bar soap, everything else I use is fragrance free. No perfumes, no masking fragrance, nothing.
The above are the gotta-bees. And then there is the preferred list which is "off thread".

I never thought about it but I guess there are some things I buy the same every time -
Viva paper towels
Tide w/ bleach
Starbucks whole bean
Heinz ketchup
Pantene
Nike
Caesars(for my pooch)

I know there's more but I'm already seeing a pattern here. I guess with some things it really doesn't matter but with others it does.
