not a bad deal, but wtf?

Hey Spoofee, what is up with the price grabber price on this item? Most stores sell the 1000HA for around $350, and pricegrabber reflects that, and has a few stores selling it for less.

Then, it has a single store with barely any web presence, selling the item for $450, which is $50 more than the thing has ever retailed for. I suspect its a pricing mistake, accidentally listing it for $450 instead of $350. So, its understandable. The next closest store sells it for $350 + $25 shipping, etc. So, I suspect its an honest mistake by the store.

But why is spoofee.com listing that price anyway? Why choose the worst price?

According to PC Magazine

This month's issue of PC Magazine (now electronicly delivered) gives good reviews to Asus EEEPC 1000HE with has a street price of $400

Over 6 hours battery life....although the Asus site reports over 9 hours for it..

New Egg  has it in Blue and also in Black...

Not trying to trash the deal but you can get Refurbed MSI Wind's (U100) with 6cell batteries, Basically Identical specs + Wireless N, Bluetooth, ect all day long on eBay with the full manufacturers 1yr warranty for the same price including shipping no rebate.

They have onboard 24%overclocking via firmware update and are the easiest Ive seen to upgrade to 2gb of ram. Free program will bump the GPU to 400mhz, completely stable and no voltage increase so temp and battery life remain the same.

Only real pain is the touchpad but with bluetooth onboard. just use a bt mouse. I guess I'm biased but its gotta be my favorite Netbook right now.
