Don't waste your money, go to Sirius!

I disagree with that comment. Stern on Sirius is enough of a reason to stay way from it. Any company that makes a deal with that jerk, IMHO.

Oh, don't waste your money on a home kit for XM radio. With a subscription you get free online access to all of the channels plus some internet exclusive channels. Just pipe your audio into your stereo and voila!

The only reason to go with satellite radio would be for Stern - in order to keep my wife happy. I can't listen to anyone chatter - even Stern.

Actually it's $3.86

Price says $69.99 BEFORE you add it to your cart. Once added, the final price is actually $49.99 plus tax ($53.87) in CA...

Thats why you have to pay for it. They are going to pay Stern $100M per year. Must sell 1m subscriptions to come out even.

Pay for what? It's not like we're paying an extra $3.99 to listen to Stern like XM first did with Opie and Anthony. We pay the $12.95 for EVERYTHING. Did you expect Sirius to offer Stern on Sirius for FREE without paying the monthly fee required for anyone that had sat radio? Give me a break.

I've had both Sirius and XM for several years now, way before Opie and Anthony and Stern came to sat radio, and quite frankly I'm thrilled to have Stern aboard Sirius. Now I can listen to him when I go on road trips.

which one has the NFL package? I thinking of ordering it for my husband, but can't remember which one has all the NFL games on it

so if you already have an XM account, this is a free portable(ish) unit.

(new service not required, right?)_

Sirius has better sports coverage, and some people say they have better music channels. Stern vs. O&A is personal preference. XM has an edge on news (they have MSNBC and a couple extra news stations) and talk (apparently more variety) but I love Sirius for the music, sports, the talk that I do listen to and I assume I'll listen to Stern a bit when he comes.

Also, Sirius has online stream too.

Yeah, but many people prefer the higher quality audio you get with the satellite system. I sure do!
