Balloon Boy Story - Is it a hoax?

Ok, I had to post about this.

Sorry if you are tired of hearing about it

Just in case you haven't, a crazy dad makes this floating balloon craft and apparently by accident flew his 6 year old kid into the air with it causing media chaos.

Then during the post mortem interview, the son accidentally spills the bean saying "you guys said, we did it for the show" followed by a fart noise.

This just supports how they wanted to be famous
They have been on Wife Swap in the past.

I cannot see how anyone would not think that this is a hoax. Okay, the son reacts with something about 'the show'. Give the kid the benefit of the doubt being that their family has been pushing (not so subtly) for a reality show...but then look at the parents' reaction to his comment. They are deers in the headlights!

I wonder if the parents are happy. They wanted media attention and fame, they got it. As lovefreebees stated, I hope they get fined heavily for this and their kids should be taken away from the father.
