Bought one at Christmas -- we love it. Scheduler feature is more important than we expected. We just let it run in the middle of the night three nights a week -- no more Golden Retriever hair tumbleweeds for us!

In all honesty, does this thing work? I've been wanting to get one of these for my apt, but I just can't imagine it working... Also, how well does it do going around furniture?

Does it work?

Works very well -- but it is what it is.

Not as good as regular vacuum b/c it doesn't hit every spot every time. It uses random pattern and logic to get around furniture, walls, etc.

Also -- our first floor (where we use it) is all hardwoods. Not sure about carpet.

It runs three times a week in the middle of the night and we never vacuum -- so I say it works great!

I think I may get one but having recently spent so much on my credit card... Is it possible to set it to hit certain rooms on certain days? Also can you set it to run like everyday as well?

You can run as often as you want -- even several timesa a day if the battery supports it, and you empty it frequently.

As for different rooms different days -- no. Go to irobot.com -- I think they have a demo. It works with random logic -- it goes where it goes. Though I suppose you might be able to set up the invisible walls to block off diferent areas on different days which may support what you are trying to do.
