Not sure if this would be posted here but..
I want to start getting movies from online this way I don't have to always run to the store they come right to my home.. Which one is better or which would you prefer? Thanks for your opinions in advance :)

I'd recommend Blockbuster I use them and I've had no problems with them.

I like blockbuster. They deliver and you have the option to bring it to the store to get a new one if wanted. They also email you in store coupons for free dvds and games. I even just received a coupon to buy a used copy of Da Vinci code for $5.99. I would definatly go with blockbuster. Also for some reason you dont get a movie that they said was shipped just report it with a few simple clicks and they resend it or a new movie.

I've been a netflix user for almost a year and I'm starting to notice some throttling. I just started getting blue-ray movies with no extra charge. They have a great online service with many user reviews and 1 day shipping (VA). Now just 2 weeks ago I've noticed it takes 2 days to recieve and send. It was great while it lasted now I might try blockbuster. Does blockbuster get blue-ray movies and how is the shipping times?

Blockbuster for sure

I have tried bothe services, netflix delivers in great time, has a great selection and a great price!
Blockbuster went over bored, same price, same delivery time, but because they have so many stores, instead of mailing back the movies, you take them to the store and get free rentals for each one. And, they send you the next ones off your list right away too, so inside of 2 days I had 6 movies at home, and didn't have to wait. I love it, best thing I have found for renting. Cheap too, hope that helps!!

Blockbuster has Blue Ray available with the online service, with every new release and they are starting to update some of the older titles with blue ray as they come available, shipping time is usually 1 day, 2 days max, but the instore exchange makes the wait time no problem.

The code for 2 weeks free from blockbuster is 49014B, thats what I used a couple times for my membership

I was with NetFlix for 2 years, then I switched to Blockbuster for 4 months, and now I've been back with Netflix for over a year.

It's been a long time since I was with Blockbuster but I was unhappy with them. My main complaints were:
- long waits
- slow / clunky web site

They may have improved delivery/wait times since I tried them, but I see that the web site has not improved much. If I had any interest in going to a store (and if they improved their web site features/speed) I might consider trying them again, but since I have no interest in going to a store I'm staying put with Netflix for now.

I'm extremely happy with Netflix - the web site is incredibly feature-rich / easy previews / rating system / friends system, and it's fast. Delivery and turn-around times are SUPER fast (sometimes as short as 1 day, but usually 2 days). My wife and I receive about 12 movies a month from them and it runs us just under $20 a month. We're considering scaling down to the $12 a month plan because we just don't have the time to watch that many movies these days.

IMO you can't go wrong with Netflix, but maybe Blockbuster has improved since I tried them, so I'd suggest trying them both and use the free trial period from both to compare the service and see which one you like better.

i was with blockbuster and was fed up with the lack of movies in stock as well as the bad service ...so now i have been with Netflix for over two years and i love them...nice fast shipping as well as great customer care

I've been with blockbuster for about a year now, and I love it. Quick shipments, and the free coupons are a perk.

Netflix

I tried Blockbuster during a free trial period and got two shipments with at least one DVD per shipment that was scratched so bad we couldn't watch the movie. I know this shouldn't be a problem but at that time you didn't have the option of bringing it back to the store. I couldn't stand waiting for the shipment to go back to blockbuster and then back to us so I cancelled all together. I do not have time to watch movies very often since I work full-time and take night classes.

I have been with Netflix for awhile now and so far I love it. We even get notices if our movies will be late. For instance we have one move that will be coming from Seattle, WA rather than our usual distribution center so they let us know it might be an extra day before we receive it. :)
