is your doctor worried that you could have diabetes?

just wondering, what is your fasting blood glucose level? is that elevated too?

here's a link to a site that has some more information about blood sugar levels and diabetes

Diabetes is easily diagnosed by a blood test that measures your blood sugar (glucose). If you are not a woman who is pregnant, there are three ways that your glucose test can fit a diagnosis of diabetes:

1. If you have not had anything other than water to eat or drink for eight hours and your glucose is at least 126 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dl)
2. If you have symptoms that suggest diabetes and your glucose with or without eating is at least 200 mg/dl
3. If you are given a 75-gram sugar drink by your doctor (oral glucose tolerance test) and two hours later have a glucose level of at least 200 mg/dl

he said Im becoming pre diabetic and recently have been getting extreamly dizzy even though I eat and sometimes when I dont eat anything but a small breakfast it happens but when I eat something with sugar I feel fine like diet soda, or a few sugar candies so my doctor told me to keep testing and last time I had the sugar drink it was a little elevated it was 100 he told me it was not enough to worry about yet he said. I've been testing my blood sugar levels at home since I was 19 due to being on the edge of having normal to pre diabetic blood sugar levels.. and Ive been trying to work out and lose weight but its been really hard for me espeically after my two children.. im not sure if i should find another dr or what?

I would certainly get a 2nd opinion....130 is not out of range. If you are still under 200 with the glucose/sugar drink test, then they consider that normal.
I have 2 diabetics in my family, + my MIL.

when your below 80 its bad i think but 130 should be good

thanks Tigger_too_wooh Ill let my doctor know since he seems so concerend
