What do you do to pick yourself up on a crummy day?

I need to find a new coping mechanism.

Shopping, but that's just because I hang out here ;)

I like to take my dogs for a long walk with my MP3 player, I can relax & enjoy my doggies it always make me feel better :)

warm soup.. pajamas.. snuggly kitties

That's it.

I'm getting rid of my 2 year old and getting a pet!

:D

I'm joking... but taking a dog for a walk and snuggling up with a couple of kitties does sound very inviting!

Clean (radical) or rearrange the furniture in the room. At least I feel like I got something accomplished... :secret: If convenient, a good cry works too!

**Hey - that fart button might work too!***

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

I tried that last night and both my husband and my daughter were telling me to "Stop pressing the button Mommy!" I was trying to figure out what the loop was... LOL

10.....

did you exercise, tigger? sometimes it's exactly what you need, even when you don't want to do it. make yourself spend 20 minutes with an exercise video you like. or dance like a crazy person to goofy music (chipmunks, the wiggles, whatever it takes)-- your daughter will love it and dance with you!!

I'd have to agree with clubchick. Excersise is one of the best de-stressors and mood lifters. But, when everything fails, you can take your pants off and moon people. See, like I'm doing right now ;)

Disclaimer: While mooning is not illegal in most states, this author does not admit engaging is such childish behavior in public.

i know!!! you should go for a night out with the girls- doesn't have to be anything crazy, but do something that "normal" people do, not "mom" stuff. get one or two or five girlfriends and catch a movie, or better yet, find somewhere with karaoke and even if you aren't brave enough to sing, sit there and make fun of the really bad ones (which would be me, if i were there :p)

You're right Dehawk, you would need to find a 'creature'. :o

Hi Tigger, I'm feeling the same way!! I locked my kids in the room with their toys so I can have a little peace and quiet for a little while...but not long..Now the 3 year old is screaming...

Hang in there....It is the weekend for most...except me, with a hubbdy that works all weekend:(

Hey thanks for the tips!

They are all much better than eating a 1/2 a pint of Ben and Jerry's Everything But The... ice cream.

I was in a bad mood and then felt worse after splurging on eating that!

Next time I'll have a to call a babysitter and head out to a Karaoke Bar! That sounds like a much better coping mechanism! :-D

Drugs. Drugs help you cope. Or not. I cant remember. When I get depressed I get my dogs up on the couch and we all take a snuggly little nap.
