I am having problems with my wireless phone and bluetooth headset ever since i bought them.
motorola hs850 headset and siemens phone.

sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. getting tired of re linking it to the phone all the time.

is this how everyone's bluetooth works?

do you think if both the headset and phone are the same brand, they will work smoothly?

My bluetooth connection sometimes has problems. I've only had my phone/bluetooth for about a week now and I am in the same boat wondering if it is just a general bluetooth problem or if it is an anomaly.

Any bluetooth specialists out there with some information?

"60% of the time, it works all the time!" Bluetooth connections, when made properly should work all of the time. Some of the older bluetooth phones dont make reliable connections and thats where the problem lies. The newest phones dont have that problem.

I have used Bluetooth with my two Motorola phones, V505 and V635, while using my HS820 headset. I also used it briefly when I had my Sony Ericsson T616, but all of my connections have been pretty solid.

so are you saying, that if i buy a new phone, the problems should be gone?

the siemens i have is indeed old.

also, is there any way to tell if a phone is bluetooth v2 ??

Usually, you have to go into the phone to find out all the details such as it's Version or Class. Luckily V2 is downwards compatible so almost all Bluetooth devices work together as long as they have matching connection profiles (Hands-Free, Headset, A2DP, etc etc)
