I have two of these, purchased at another time when Spoofee showed a similar deal. I said to myself "who cares" if I have to throw it away in a year or two, it was cheap . . .

Well, I was wrong. It is the ultimate piece of junk. The toner cartridge is uses is just like that black paper you used to put behind something you were typing so that you'd get a copy of what you typed. Just a roll of cheazy black goopy paper, and it COSTS A FORTUNE.

Don't bother with this. Really.

thanks for the info. otherwise, i would have jumped into this deal as i've been looking for a decent & cheap fax machine.

Well, I was about to write a similar review, but you beat me to it. We have one of these in the office and I've been meaning to get rid of it for about 5 months now but I forget until...voilà! we get a fax and it turns out like crap and we have to have it re-faxed 3 times and the ribbon gets all gummed up in the inner mechanisms and then the ribbon rolls itself out onto the paper because the crappy stuff adhered to the paper and won't release, meaning that now we have to open the machine up and re-roll by hand all the ribbon that unrolled and pray that the remaining pages of the fax come through without the same problem....THEN, that's when I remember I need to get rid of the thing. Well, I think I'm gonna write myself a note to get one this weekend because I'm pretty sick of that thing.

I wouldn't take this deal if I came out making money.
 
Trash is trash, even if it is cheap there needs to be quality stuff mentioned on Spoofee, or else people can get suckered. And yes, even though I bought two of these things at $!0, I feel suckered. Spoofee, let's shoot for top quality merchandise, at cheap prices. Yeah!
