I must be dumb, but how do I use my dvd burner on my computer to burn movies, I've burned music, but not a movie yet. I feel so ancient. Also, just bought a dvd recorder, is there a way to record dvd movies from another source, like another dvd player?

You need some type of DVD video software such as Movie Maker that comes with windows xp. You can import your video files from your camcorder, memory stick, etc.. edit them and start your process of converting it to DVD.

You can't just copy a DVD movie that u bought from the store. It is encrypted. you must decrypt it first with other software, but may I add this is so-called "Illegal"

Also your DVD Burner should have come with burning software such as NERO burning. This is the software you use to burn CD's or DVD's

Your Not Dumb Because You Don't Know How To Burn A DVD...Most People Don't Know How

First....What Are You Trying To Burn? If It Is A File You Have Downloaded What Type Of File Is It?

If You Are Trying To Copy A DVD You Will Need A Program To Decrypt It...Best Program Is DVD Decrypter...Then You Just Use NERO To Burn It...

To Burn DVD's I Use NERO Burning Rom or Alcohol 120%...Depending On What I'm Burning...

The Process Is Pretty Simple...If You Need Anymore Help Try This Website www.videohelp.com

That Has All The Info You Need

the easiest way to copy a movie is with VSO 1-click dvd copy. you have to get DVD43 or some other decrypter too. But the program is pretty much just 1-click after you get it setup.
