Has anyone bought one of those "information auctions" on eBay offering to give you their source for buying iPod Nanos wholesale at $50?

No. If it's too good to be true, be careful... The wholesale list is usually a ripoff since it changes quickly and ... And if you do find an up-to-date one, some sellers may have minimum order requirement.

There are so many iPod scams out there it's unbelievable.

I just picked up my new one at the Delaware Apple store with no sales tax.

Hey if you buy directly from a apple store. Can you get a educational discount?
Erik how do you like your new ipod?

I really like it. The video converting is quite a hassle, but if you have enough patience, you can convert basically any type of video to play on the iPod. The video is super crisp. I'm doing it at 512kbps, I think that's the best ratio between filesize and quality. I'm enjoying recording TV shows to my DVD recorder and then ripping/converting them using a simple program for my Mac.

Yes, if you are a college student/teacher and have ID you will get $30 off, so a 30GB new iPod would cost $269.
