I only got five free minutes as well. Guess they didn't like the countries I picked out to call! Thanks for posting!

It is 10 minutes to ANY country

My email says 10 Global minutes, but i called Callingcards.com anyway. They said that everyone will get 10 minutes to call ANY country regardless what you choose as your 'favorite countries' options in the form.

I tried it, and it works great! I'm traveling to Europe next month, and their rates to call back to the US are fantastic. Great find!

I have already emailed my family and friends in UK to use these cards. They have hundreds of local numbers in Europe, and other countries around the world.

Matthew, take a closer look at the FEES that they charge! Go to the "HELP?FAQ" section, and, they charge you 69cents for EACH call you make on the card, and, there are other fees added as well. Hope this helps. I did get ten minutes in the end, and, I am grateful for the same. But I personally don't like all the hidden fees. I prefer my calling card to spell out for me right up front. Good luck and enjoy the trip to Europe!

Thanks for the warning!

Does it state that a connection fee will be charged for free cards? i don't see info related to thje free card ... maybe that fee doesnt apply to the free cards ?? :convinced:

Great find! I am a little geographically challenged....where exactly is the country of Georgia?

Kadin'sMama Georgia is a small country in Europe right between Russia and Armenia.

I can't say if they will charge the free ten minutes with the sixty nine cent connection fee or not? Hopefully not! That would only leave like three minutes on the free card to use. Will give my free card a try over the weekend and see how it all works out! I will just talk real fast!

Ragnarok, I checked the callingcards.com site, and not all cards have maintenance fees. Actually, the site spells out all fees of very clearly on each card details page. I have searched long and hard for honest sites, and these guys seem to be the best. Other companies don't list taxes and so on, but callingcards.com has everything layed out on each page, so you can see before buying a card. Plus their rates are unbeatable.

the World Access card (the card i bought) has 1 minute billing increment, and no maintenance fees, and no expiration. So I bought a $50 card, and I can use the card this year, and whatever I don't use, i can use it next year also when I go, because there is no maintence fees or expiration. It truly is great.

Plus, my rate to call usa is only 3.7 cents from most of Europe. I have done some research, and the average rate is around 15 cents with other cards. My cell phone carrier would charge be $1.29 per minute! Crazy difference right??

Thank goodness for calling cards :)

Good points raised........folks, read the small print for the particuliar card that interests you. Don't fall prey to hidden costs which jack up calling card prices. THEY ALL have them, just have a good look at any calling card plan before deciding. Best to be safe than sorry! Have a wonderful trip to Europe Matthew, be safe, happy, and come home healthy!

I just used my 10 free minutes. The Quality was pretty good.
