would you mind buying it instore if it was available for less, and do you have to pay sales tax at circuit city?

if not, then CC has the Canon A95 for $284.99. they have a 10% off all digital cameras coupon which would bring the price down to $256.49.

I bought one in Oct. or so for $261 or so from Dell when they were having a coupon and stacked % off sale. They run those sales periodically, so watch for it.

If you're still looking, Dell has this camera for around $225 plus tax (if applicable). This is an AMAZING price!!! Only thing is that you will have to you'll also have to buy a filler item to qualify for the $30 of $300 coupon. Note: cheap filler items are hard to find at Dell.

Then enter the promotion code LD6RKHF1WDLPWV to get $30 off $300. FYI I believe the code expires tomorrow.

Then if you want to get a Canon photo printer (e.g., PIXMA iP3000 (which is excellent!), PIXMA iP4000, PIXMA iP4000R, PIXMA iP5000, PIXMA iP6000D) at Dell or somewhere else, you can then get a $70 rebate to boot. Rebate :bigok:

Do you need prints larger than 8x10? If not, get the Canon A510: smaller, lighter, 2 (vs 4) AA batteries, & unlike A95 fits small cases.

I've seen each as low as $149 (rare though). A510 often $179, reg $199. A95 usually best around $250.

you will be shooting yourself in the foot if you buy a digital camera that doesnt have a rechargable batery. aa's dont cut it.

they don't, but you can buy 2300mah AA rechargeable batteries anywhere and they should work fine.

Try This

At http://www.brianscamera.com,

$209 + No Tax + 13.00 (Shipping by UPS).

Never heard of Brian's Camera. With over $5 billion in sales, I'd expect a little better website. Too many caveats too. A couple highlights or should I say lowlights from their "About Us" page:

------------------
Products specified as "Closeout Special", "B Stock" or "Demo Model" may not be brand new. Please contact us with any questions on these products prior to purchase.

Some UPC's may have been removed for inventory tracking.

Some rebates and manufacture promotions may not be participated in and may not apply. Please email for details -> Prior to ordering

Some units may include mail order accessories only.

Grey market merchandise is marketed for other countries, US warranty may not apply. Also note grey market merchandise may take up to 2-8 weeks to receive.

Some prices are after manufactures rebate.

-------------

Appears that shipping would be about $20 for me, but for a couple dollars more I'll stick with Dell (if I needed another one).

BTW, they also appear to be based out of Commack, NY (Lawnguyland) and nobody voluntarily goes to Commack. ;)
