is this a good camera? I have a SD1000 and my GF really likes it and wants one for herself. There is also a the SD780, which is a better one for the price?

I hope they both take the same battery as my SD1000 so that we can share batteries

EDIT: does the SD780 qualify for the rebate? according to the rebate it says "Get a $50 Staples Gift Card with the Purchase of a Select Digital Camera or Camcorder (Select SKUs) Purchase Price of $149 or more at Staples." but doesn't give the "Select SKUs" if so i might bite on the SD780

EDIT: found my answer to the batteries, they do use the same batteries
