I have this camera and have had it since 2 days after it came out (paid ~$900). It was my 3rd in the EOS Rebel line (EOS, XT, XTi) and I could not be happier. I have tried Nikon, Sony and others and this is the best ProSumer model I can recommend.

One downside is the lenses, Sony's SLR cameras come with Image Stabilization built into the body where Canon still builds it into the lenses. The only reason for this is $$$ since they can sell their IS lenses for $100+ more EACH.
