I was dissapointed that I couldn't get the Casio label printer at staples last week. Well this is a better deal.

You cannot order online and it's dicontinued in stores (although you can try). However they have them in stock if you call their 800 number below:

1. go to www.officemax.com
2. Search for item 02218157 (not orderable online)
3. Call the officemax order center at 1-800-283-7674
4. The item is 39.99, but you get free shipping anyway as this is a special order which will take 5-7 business days. The woman said they had plenty of these in stock

The rebate is good until 12/31/04.
6. Only 1 rebate per customer.

Free after rebate. It's a better deal than the Casio Free AR at Staples last week as this model takes all size tape cartriges and has more features.

All out :(

I tried to order one today and she said they were all out but that it was not discontinued and to check back next week. This looks like a good deal. What I wanted most was that it had it's own A/C adapter. Oh well. :(
 
That's strange. When I called the 800 number and spoke to the woman she said that there were plenty in stock, but only if you order on the phone because they are special order. You may want to try again as you might have spoke to someone that didin't know what they were doing.
 
I just called and they shipped my unit 10/19 via UPS from CO. The woman also stated they had them in stock. Get them while you can.
 
Yeah, I called back and talked to someone who knew what they were talking about. Hooray!
 
$50 minimum

I just tried and was told shipping would be $10 if the order is under $50. So if you want FREE SHIPPING, you may need to add to your order to get it up to $50. :hmm:
 
Actually I was told the same thing. However when the lady puts the order in she will be surprised to see that shipping is free. It's because it's special order and it will take 5-7 business days. Therefore the $50 min free shipping doesn't apply here. Be sure she checks that when you order and you should be fine. They are not used to seeing that when they put those orders through so that's why they are used to telling you the shipping cost below $50. You will, however get charged for tax. Good luck.
 
FYI I received my label maker last night. I still can't believe I got it for FREE. It even hooks to your PC to download graphics, fonts, etc. You can print up to 8 lines on the tape. The software says it's for Windows 95 so I'll have to search for an update. It comes with the AC adapter, a full cartrige of white tape, and a serial port adapter to hook to the PC (if you want to). A PC is not required for this unit though.

Last night I ordered one for my dad too. The rebate is 1 per household. They still have plenty in stock.

Thanks for this deal, Druvans!
I looked for this item online & had no luck finding it.
So I called OfficeMax (1-800-283-7674) & spoke w/ Heath. He said this item is only available from one distribution center & can't be ordered online or purchased at my local OfficeMax. So, a customer would need to call in to place the order, which then means if the order is less than $50, there's a $10 charge for shipping. IF you bump up your order by another $10.01 in purchases (total $50), you get free shipping! :) Anyone else get different info?
 
I just put my order online in OM. The delivery date is 12/09. I think it is a good deal to me. Thanks OBlachubs to share this info to us. :claps:
