Cell phones.....you either love them or you hate them. When I retired I literally THREW my cell phone and beeper in the Cheaspeake Bay! No hostilities here right? Anyway, I have been looking about now for some simple plan to purchase and, am amazed at all the taxes, activation fees, contracts, phone styles yatta yatta yatta that are out there! Just want a phone to throw into my purse for emergencies, or use in the car for the whatevers.

So tell me folks........do you personally enjoy your cell phone? Do you recommend a specific cell phone company over another? Or is it a necessary evil for your work or life activity? Maybe I can glean some help from your experience! All of these companies began to blur after a bit of looking at their site. Thanks a bunch! Never know when I might have to use it to call out for pizza for the dog! :)

I have a prepaid phone from T-Mobile. I paid about $50 for it and I bought a phone card that comes out to 10 cents a minute. That's long distance calls too. It's a good deal if you don't want a plan. I would like to get a family plan so we can all have phones but it is so expensive!

I couldn't do prepaid, all I use is my cell phone. That would be way more expensive then a plan.

I have a prepaid go phone from cingulair. It runs about 10 cents per minute.

I love my prepaid plan from cingular.I had a contract....:mmph: and I would not EVER get another one.BUT...this is my opinion.

I have a shared plan from Verizon for about $65 a month. 2 phones and 800 minutes to share between the phones which is more than enough. We also have free nights and weekends, free Verizon to Verizon calls, text and picture messaging (which i DESPISE but my friends think its a necessity.)

good luck with whatever you choose!:bigok:
