i was about to get the drive (just needed to press the final "submit" button) when i realized that the $30 rebate is the SAME ONE as this drive had two weeks ago. So if u already got this drive, u wont receive rebate again!

..anyone ever found the correct rebate for the $10 one? The OM rebate form states the offer on the drive was from 3/30 to 4/5 and so it's expired, the same details show up when you view the form rebateshq.com has up.
That's the same form I'll be using, and if/when it gets rejected, well, I'll just get it fixed. Got a couple $10 off $50 coupons recently and so I'll just be snagging the drive for $43 after CPN/tax and getting it for $3 AR. Sure, not really too hot, done plenty of deals where I got a burner and gobs of stuff for free after tax/cpn/rebate even postage, but, I'm only buying this thing cause a friend needs one. Easy way to snag a drive for practically free and not incur another $130 in rebate debt<G>

Ya think this might be the Lite-on?
On the back of the box, on the very bottom of the specifications, look for the model number, if it says LTR-48125W, then it's a Lite-On. I got one before and it was a Litey. 
Of course, the real confirmation is what the computer sees it as.

if you guys remember back durring christmas when the game cube was being sold for nearly free if you signed up for an msn wallet acct. well i bought one and just recently found that i still have 40.00 in the acct and cant get it out in cash, so check this out (hopefully it works) ill buy the cdr for 49.99 (using the money in the msn acct, so i only pay 9.99) get the 40 dollar rebate, now i pay -30 dollars, and the 10$ rebate, and now getting all my money back in cash

Not sure if anyone cares, but as an update to this, at the time OM advertised this from 4/27 to 5/3 the $10 OM rebate had expired 3 weeks prior but OM said it would be honored away. Since this was handled by Parago and fixing a problem is relatively easy, I used a 10 of 50 coupon and grabbed one. I sent in for the $10 rebate using the online form at rebateshq.com and indeed, despite the dates listed on the form, it WAS honored and validated. So OM apparantly did something right in so far as making sure parago updated the valid dates for the store rebate for this one.
