This is getting a *lot* of hype in the area. I don't remember this from the Schaumberg location opening...

Supposively, they are also giving away a $3000 IKEA gift card to the first person in line when it opens on Wednesday. There was an article in the Trib about some guy from Atlanta who has been camping outside the front door for about two weeks so he can get it.

According to me- and I'm a deal seeker - TOTALLY not worth it.

Also- the local ad said it was only the first 75 adults in line that would get a free chair- one per household. Maybe the website is different...

yeah, waiting in line for 2 weeks for a free GC ... that's a tad extreme imho.

btw, the ikea website says the chair is for the first 100 at Bolingbrook or Schaumburg (the screenshot is attached to the first post).
