Just took note in USA Today that Mc Donalds is testing a high tech min gym for kids! "R Gyms" named for Ronald Mc Donald, include exercise bikes that play videos only when pedeled, and dance pads that show kids movies on nearby screens! I mean, how smart is that to ply kids with junk food, then, let them exercise it off?!
My question is, just WHO is really responsible for nutritional monitoring in children? Who is at fault for childhood obesity? Is it the parents for letting the little critters eat junk because their busy schedules don't let them cook meals at home? Is it the fast food chains for adding so much garbage to their food selections? Is it the FDA for allowing the choices to show up in the first place? Is it the Government for letting these food chains get away with pushing junk not only in restaurants, but in the school systems? Are we a society with no self-restraint?!?!
Diabetes and cardiac health issues are on the rise in young kids and young adults. Give your thoughts, and, possible solution!
