Has anyone ordered from CircuitCity.com and the local store did not have it ready? Their website says they'll give a $24 gift card if this ever happens. Does it have to be out of stock or if it is not already behind the counter does that count?

From circuitcity.com:
"Details: 24 Minute Pickup Guarantee applies from timestamp on order confirmation email until the time order is ready for customer pickup. Guarantee excludes customer wait time in store lines. Offer valid on orders placed at circuitcity.com or by phone during pickup store's normal operating hours up to 30 minutes prior to closing. Guarantee not valid the day after Thanksgiving, 12/26 or 12/27. $25 minimum purchase. One $24 gift card offered per qualifying in-store pickup ticket, which must be claimed at time of pickup and is good for future purchases."

I saw some posts on another board, so you might search the net. But yes, a lot of time they don't give that GC out without talking to the manager.

Believe it or not, this happened to me on Saturday. So funny to find this thread now! I ordered two Microsoft Wireless Notebook Mice. When I got there (probably 45 minutes later), he brought out two IntelliMouse Explorers. I kindly said that those weren't the ones, and he went back to look for them. It ended up 10 or 15 minutes later that they came in off trucks so they had to pull them from the back. Then, the manager came up to apologize and authorize a change in inventory or something. I then kindly asked, "Am I eligible for the guarantee?" He said, yeah, why not, and the cashier rang me up for the $24 card. Not bad! :D

That's the fastest response I have found yet Eric. Most of the time there is a big scene with the manager & supervisor.
